Join the fun at the Galway Food Festival during the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend - Thurs 17th - Monday 21st of April 2014!

Welcome to the Galway Food Festival - even bigger and better in this its third year and featuring a programme of fantastic food and free, family-friendly events in Galway on the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend. Celebrating Galway as a good food destination and with a strong focus on artisan, seasonal and local produce the festival will showcase the best that Galway has to offer. This year's festival will include an extended food village on the banks of the Corrib, open-air markets, restaurant trails, cookery demonstrations, food tours to local artisan producers, foraging trips, food talks, tastings, wine and beer workshops, a meet the producers forum, lots of local produce, kids activities and family fun days.

You will be amazed as The Gastronomy Guys serve up an Easter surprise like no other at a special Easter Saturday Event in the Gaslight Bar & Brasserie at Hotel Meyrick!

Using molecular science and nitrogen to create simple, fun and explosive combinations, The Gastronomy Guys serve a variety of sweet treats from their copper boiler including nitrogen meringues, cocktails, sorbets, ice creams and their molecular bubbles! Treating cooking more like a lab than a kitchen, The Gastronomy Guys have been experimenting and exploring the science behind cooking, allowing them to create extraordinary foods such as bloody mary bubbles and white russian ice cream!
