Give your wedding day that magical feel at The Hotel Meyrick in Galway

The Ceremony

The most important part of your wedding day! Your Ceremony will be typically one hour in duration, however photographs of the bridal party on the altar afterwards may take about 20 minutes. Therefore, between the bride arriving that few minutes fashionably late and the photographs afterwards, allocate 1.5 hours for the Church.

Although we see couples coming from churches from all areas, the closest and most popular are The Augustinian, The Cathedral, The Claddagh Church and the Church at NUI Galway.

There are many beautiful locations to take your wedding photographs located around Galway City and in close proximity to the Meyrick Hotel Galway. A favourite among past wedding couples have been the grounds of NUI Galway or the Claddagh. There are lots of lovely areas within the Meyrick Hotel that are ideal for photographs. At the foot of the winding stairs or in the bridal suite, where Victorian windows with the view of Eyre Square in the background have produced some wonderful images.
