Subject to License 2019 will mark the return of the 9th annual Galway Continental Christmas Market to the heart of the city!
With its location in Eyre Square, on the steps of the Hotel, enjoy all that Market has to offer from the luxury of Hotel Meyrick! From 15th Nov 2019 traders from all over Ireland and Europe will once again transform Eyre Square into a Winter Wonderland. Building on the successful format of previous years, the market will be a hive of activity with lots of entertainment promised.
Among the many popular features due to make a welcome return to the market are the music stage hosting choirs and carolers, the big wheel with fabulous views of Galway City centre, children’s workshops, amusements and of course Santa! Always a draw, the large German Bierkeller will return to the heart of the market offering a wide range of traditional fine German Beers and music each night.
Hotel Meyrick overlooks the Christmas Market on Eyre Square and offers an exceptional package for your festive break in Galway.

"I stay here any time I can and each time it is perfect. From the friendly staff at check in to the gorgeous rooms. It's an oasis in the heart of Galway city. I love their food menu in the Gas Light lounge and I try to have time for the afternoon tea. It's such a treat to have. It has become a tradition now for myself and my sisters to spend a night before Christmas in the hotel and visit the Christmas market. The hotel is such a special place around Christmas time."

"Myself and my husband have just spent the weekend in the Hotel Meyrick ., it's a gorgeous hotel and decorated beautifully for Christmas. Breakfast was lovely and staff in all areas were friendly and helpful.. Location is perfect .Our room was comfortable and clean but just too hot so we put off the heat as it can't be adjusted .. Christmas markets are on the door step. Hope to return again soon"
